Buying and ordering

Why is one SMM panel ten times cheaper than another for the same service?

Last updated by The PanelCompare editorial team

How much of the gap is just markup?

A single order commonly passes through three to five hops before it reaches actual delivery, and each hop adds margin. Typical retail markup over wholesale is 1.8×–3×, narrowest on commodity services where buyers can comparison-shop and widest where they cannot: TikTok views run about $0.06 wholesale against roughly $0.70 retail, and YouTube dislikes $0.13 wholesale against $50 retail — a roughly 380× spread, the widest recorded in the sample (PanelCompare domain research, 2026-09-06).

How much of it is that the rows are different products?

Most of it, usually. Country is the single biggest price driver in the catalogue, well ahead of any quality adjective, and refill cover is priced separately again.

What moves a rate, on the same nominal service
VariableObserved effect
Country targetingInstagram story views $0.08 worldwide → $24.50 USA/EU (~300×); Facebook shares $0.85 → $16.50 USA (~19×)
Refill coverTikTok followers $1.73 with no refill → $3.45 with a 30-day refill (+100%)
Account tierYouTube subscribers are bimodal: a bot tier at $0.02–$0.72 and a real, refill-guaranteed tier near $14.40, with little in between
Platform enforcementSnapchat followers start at $10.92 where Instagram starts at $0.63, because Snapchat’s closed graph is genuinely hard to fake

Comparing a worldwide bot row against a US-targeted, refill-guaranteed row and concluding that one panel is expensive is comparing two different things. The defensible comparison is a fixed basket of defined services priced across every panel, which is what the price index does.

Think this answer is wrong?

Prices, refill terms and platform policies in this market all move, so an answer that was right in September may not be right in December. Every figure above names its source and the date it was checked; if one of them is stale or wrong, the correction process on the about page has a two-working-day reply target, and corrections are published with a dated note rather than quietly patched.
