Is it safe to add a panel’s Discord bot to your server?

Why is this different from every other panel order?
Because every other order is one-way: you hand over a public link and external accounts act on public content. A Discord member service inverts that. You are granting standing access inside a space you administer, to an operator several hops up a supply chain you cannot see, for as long as you leave the bot installed.
The same caution applies to any service that asks you to install something rather than to paste something. Installation is the category boundary worth watching, not the platform.
How do you reduce the exposure?
- 1.Grant the narrowest permission set the service will function with, and refuse administrator outright.
- 2.Keep the bot out of private channels by scoping channel permissions rather than relying on role defaults.
- 3.Remove the bot the moment the order is complete, rather than leaving it for a future order.
- 4.Audit the server audit log afterwards for role changes, invites created and messages sent.
