Why does account restriction matter to a buyer?
Enforcement is graduated, and knowing the sequence prevents both panic and complacency. Platforms aim primarily at the fake accounts, so the first visible consequence to a buyer is normally the units disappearing rather than anything happening to them. TikTok describes restricting an account as limiting the ability to post new content or to appear in top search results or the For You feed; Meta states that enforcement actions are “designed to be proportional to the severity of the violation, the history of violations on the account and the risk or harm posed to the community”; YouTube’s fake-engagement enforcement runs through content removal and a three-strikes-in-90-days path to termination (all verified 2026-09-11).
The scale of the deletion step is worth seeing in the platform’s own numbers. TikTok reported blocking more than 15 billion fake follow requests and removing more than 207 million fake followers in the first half of 2024, and said that in Q2 2024 “over 94% of the videos that violate our fake engagement policies were removed proactively” (TikTok Newsroom, 9 December 2024, verified 2026-09-11). Those are removals of supply, and they are the mechanism behind most large sudden drops.
How does account restriction show up in a price list?
Nothing in a catalogue speaks to it, and no refill covers it: a refill replaces units, not distribution. Where a panel offers a “safe” or “ban-protected” row at a premium, the premium buys inventory, not indemnity.
The observable buyer-side signal is a sequence rather than an event — a drop, then reach falling further than the drop explains, then features quietly unavailable. Recording start count, delivered count and weekly totals is what separates that from ordinary decay.
