Panels do not publish their suppliers, and a reseller’s storefront looks like anyone else’s. What gives the relationship away is the catalogue: a panel connected to another panel’s API imports its services, names included, and marks every price up by one percentage. Four checks turn that into a finding.
- Same name, same service. Services are compared only within one of our service categories and only under the same name, after removing emoji, case and punctuation. Generic names such as “Instagram Likes” are ignored: they identify nothing.
- A steady ratio. For each pair of panels we look for the price ratio most of their shared services sit at, within ±3%. A real reseller shows one ratio across hundreds of services; two unrelated panels that happen to share names do not.
- Direction. The cheaper side is the candidate source, because a reseller cannot sell below its cost for long. Prices within 2% of each other carry no direction at all; we call those twins.
- The sibling test. Two resellers of the same provider look exactly like provider and reseller to each other. A real source carries the whole family of services, so we check whether the cheaper panel lists the services the dearer one shares, at the same ratios, with other panels. If it lists only part of them, both buy from somewhere else.
Confidence, from 0 to 1, multiplies five things: how many services match (with one product line counted once, however many rows it has), how consistently the dearer side is dearer, how many services sit at the main ratio, how often the raw names and order limits are byte-identical, and how much of the reseller’s matching set the source carries. A source with a price-identical twin that could equally be the supplier loses part of its confidence.
Below 0.6 a relationship is shown as “possible” and kept out of the main tables; below 0.35 it is not shown at all. A panel buying from a supplier we do not list, a private reseller rate, or a catalogue we have not read can all hide a real relationship, so “not determined” is the most common result and means exactly that.
Panels with a commercial relationship to this site (listed on the disclosure page) are shown here only as providers; any other finding about them is held back. Disclosure
